God's Glory Christian School

Welcome to Our School

SUFSSchools-Display-728-90.jpg

Hello and welcome to God's Glory Christian School. We are excited to offer educational opportunities to students who are enrolled in Kindergarten through Twelfth Grade.  It is so exciting to be a part of this Christian educational ministry.  You will find that our prices are fair and among the lowest in Bay County. We are listed on the Florida Department of Education Website, as well as, the Bay District Schools list of Private Schools. We are approved to accept students who qualify Florida Tax Credit and Family Empowerment Scholarships through Florida Department of Education or Step Up for Students.  These scholarships provide an awesome opportunity for families who have always wanted their children to have a Christian education, but could not afford tuition to private schools.

Our Beginnings

We are a non-profit, Christian, educational ministry that is founded on Jesus Christ and the Holy Bible.  Today, more than ever, our children need a strong foundation in knowing right from wrong according to God's standards.  The only place to learn that foundation is through the study of God's word.  Every day at God's Glory Christian School our students begin with a Bible lesson and prayer.  The most important things we can teach our children come from the Holy Bible.   Proverbs 22:6 states, "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it."  We have a responsibility to teach our children the ways of the Lord.

A high value has also been placed on academic standards at God's Glory Christian School.  We have chosen to use the Abeka curriculum as a basis for our program.  Abeka is a tried and true curriculum that meets and often surpasses state educational standards while teaching from a Christian perspective.  All teachers have a bachelors level education or higher as required by Florida Department of Education.

Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it. Psalms 127:1a

About the Administrator

Charlotte Newell

I have been happily married to J.R. Newell for over 20 years.  My husband and I have 3 beautiful daughters.  In 2002, I graduated from Florida State University with a bachelor's degree in Social Work.  I was able to have my first professional job working with the elderly population.  In 2003, I went to work for the Department of Children and Families working as an Adoption Specialist.  My job privatized later that year and I continued working as an Adoption Specialist under the employment of Life Management Center.  In 2004, my husband and I had our first child.  I quit working outside of the home to be a full-time homemaker.  After the birth of our second child, I had an opportunity to work from home as an Adoption Specialist through a contract and later part-time position with Life Management Center.

During my time at home, I was fortunate enough to learn about the Abeka Homeschool program.  I spent 12 years homeschooling using the Abeka curriculum.  The curriculum is rigorous and sets a standard to be attained.  Our oldest daughter used the Abeka curriculum her entire school career.  She skipped a grade and dual enrolled school with the Baptist College of Florida in Graceville at 14.  She completed her Associates Degree at 16 and graduated with her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology at the age of 18.  You can see why I believe in the Abeka curriculum.

In 2007 I surrendered my life to Jesus.  My Christian walk has progressed over the years as I continue to strive to live a life that will glorify my Savior.  I am daily thankful for His grace and mercy.

Prior to Hurricane Michael, I enrolled in the EPI Program at GCSC.  Because of Hurricane Michael, I was not able to actually begin the program until March of 2019.  Since that time, I have completed the program and become a certified teacher with the State of Florida.

I do not light-heartedly surrender to the call God has placed on my life.   I am looking forward to seeing what God has in store for God's Glory Christian School and where he will lead in the future.
